Who we are
Gneiss Builds is an independent YouTube channel based in Switzerland that publishes AI-generated concept construction videos. Contact: gneissbuilds@gmail.com.
This website
This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking, loads no third-party scripts or fonts and collects no personal data. It is hosted by GitHub Pages; technical data such as IP addresses may be processed by the hosting provider under the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Our YouTube channel
Our videos are published on YouTube. When you watch them, like them or comment on them, YouTube processes your data under the Google Privacy Policy. We only see what YouTube shows every channel owner: public comments and aggregated statistics.
Use of YouTube API Services
We use YouTube API Services through our internal tool "Gneiss Builds Publisher" to manage our own channel. By watching our videos or commenting on them you are also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
The tool accesses and stores the following data:
- Our own channel: our videos, titles, descriptions, playlists and their status, used to upload and schedule our videos.
- Public comments on our videos: comment text, the author's public display name and channel ID, time and moderation status, used to read, answer and moderate comments.
- Aggregated YouTube Analytics of our own channel: views, watch time, retention and subscriber counts. These reports contain no personal data about individual viewers.
- Public information about other public videos: titles and statistics found through YouTube search, used only for topic research.
We use this data only to run the Gneiss Builds channel. We do not sell it, do not use it for advertising, do not use it to train AI models and do not combine it with data from other sources.
Sharing
We do not share YouTube data with third parties, with one exception: comment texts and channel statistics may be processed by an AI assistant (Claude, provided by Anthropic) on our behalf to draft replies and reports for the channel owner. See the Anthropic Privacy Policy. Every reply that is drafted this way is marked "(AI-assisted reply)".
How data is stored and deleted
- All data from YouTube API Services is stored only on the channel owner's computer in Switzerland. There is no server, no database in the cloud and no user account on this website.
- The access token for our channel is stored locally and never shared.
- Stored comments and information about other channels' videos are deleted no later than 30 days after they were retrieved. A comment you delete on YouTube disappears from our copy within that period.
- Analytics data of our own channel is refreshed at least every 30 days or deleted.
- If you want data about you deleted sooner, write to gneissbuilds@gmail.com. We delete it without undue delay.
Revoking access
The only Google account that grants our tool access is the account of our own channel. Any Google account holder can review and revoke the access of third-party apps at any time on the Google security settings page: myaccount.google.com/permissions. When access is revoked, the tool can no longer read or change anything and we delete the stored API data.
If you contact us by email, we use your message only to reply to you and delete it when it is no longer needed.
Your rights
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, where applicable, the GDPR, you may request access to, correction of or deletion of personal data concerning you. Write to gneissbuilds@gmail.com.
Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always available on this page, with the date of the last update at the top.
